“功成不必在我”：從深圳到雄安

　　Last year, China announced a plan to establish the Xiongan New Area in Hebei Province. The small region was suddenly thrust into the limelight – just as Shenzhen was when China decided to build its first ever Special Economic Zone there in 1980. The blueprint for the Xiongan New Area is a Chinese model for world-class urban development.

　　2017年，以習近平同志為核心的黨中央決定，在河北適合地段規(guī)劃建設一個以新發(fā)展理念引領的現(xiàn)代新型城區(qū)。從深圳到雄安，一場開拓進取的馬拉松仍在繼續(xù)。

　　In Xi’s own words

　　“小平同志1984年、1992年兩次視察南方，視察廣東、視察深圳。當時他就是說，要解放思想，敢于闖、敢于試?！?/p>

　　Deng Xiaoping inspected Guangdong and Shenzhen twice, in 1984 and 1992. He said we must emancipate our minds and dare to break through and dare to try.

　　“我們今后仍然要走這條正確的道路，要堅定不移地走下去，而且要有新開拓，上新水平?！?/p>

　　We must choose the right path and continue along it unswervingly. We must explore new developments and attain higher standards.

　　“雄安新區(qū)現(xiàn)在還是一張白紙，受到各方面利益牽絆比較少，要發(fā)揚改革創(chuàng)新精神，建立體制機制新高地。”

　　The Xiongan New Area is now a blank sheet of paper, free from the interests of the various parties involved. We must carry forward the spirit of reform and innovation and establish a new high-level institutional mechanism.

　　“建設雄安新區(qū)是一項歷史性工程，一定要保持歷史耐心，有‘功成不必在我’的精神境界?！?/p>

　　It is a historic project to build the Xiongan New Area. We must remain patient, remembering that to achieve real success we must have an eye to the long-term future.

　　“穩(wěn)扎穩(wěn)打，一茬兒接著一茬兒干?！?/p>

　　We must make steady progress, one achievement at a time, and keep the cause going.
